Kids Homepage is built with your family's privacy at the center. This policy explains — in plain language — what data we collect, how we use it, and how you stay in control.

What We Collect

  • Parent account information: your email address and first name.
  • Child profile information: your child's first name and birthday. We use the first name to personalize their page and the birthday for their countdown.
  • Locations: city, state, and country for weather lookups. We never collect precise GPS coordinates.
  • Birthday list: first names and dates of family/friends you add for birthday countdowns.

What We Don't Collect

  • We don't collect last names of children.
  • We don't collect precise location or GPS data.
  • We don't collect any browsing data, search history, or usage patterns from kid-facing pages.
  • We don't collect photos, voice recordings, or any biometric data.
  • We don't use third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking scripts on kid-facing pages.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used for one purpose: building your child's daily homepage. Parent emails are used for account login. Child names personalize the page. Locations power the weather section. Birthdays power the countdown. That's it.

Data Storage & Security

  • All data is stored in Supabase with row-level security (RLS) — meaning each family can only access their own data.
  • Authentication uses passwordless magic links — no passwords are stored.
  • All connections use HTTPS encryption.
  • We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Kids Homepage is designed with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act in mind. We collect only the minimum data necessary (first name and birthday) to provide the service. All child data is managed entirely by the parent through their dashboard. Children cannot create accounts, enter personal information, or interact with other users. There are no social features, chat, or user-generated content on kid-facing pages.

Cookies

We use a single authentication cookie to keep you signed in. That's it. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party cookies. Your session persists for 30 days so you don't have to log in every morning.

Data Deletion

You can delete your entire account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard. When you delete your account, all data — your profile, your child's profile, locations, and birthday lists — is permanently removed. There is no retention period.
